Michael "Skitch" Schiciano is a composer/arranger based out of Orlando, FL, and currently is employed as an educator in music/audio production at Full Sail Univeristy. His passion in writing music is grounded in his fascination of music in media productions, which ultimately lead him to being a composer himself.
Formally trained in Music Composition at Capital University (Columbus, OH), Skitch's strengths lie within the realms of electronic, orchestral/acoustic, and jazz writing styles. In addition, Skitch has a specialization in writing music stylized to emulate the sound and nature of vintage video game consoles and computers. His strength in composition has allowed Skitch to be recognized through events like the Game Audio Network Guild (GANG) Student/Apprentice Contest, which he won in 2008 with his work "Journey to the Horizon." Over the past several years, Skitch has been working on his writing, stylistic, and arrangement strengths through working for a variety of projects, whether it is for students of his at Full Sail University, independently produced videos and projects for web, and professional/commercial video game projects. His continues to grow in his skills, capable of handling a wide range of project demands at an affordable rate, while delivering high quality in his work.
